Wellbeing
noun: wellbeing: a state of being comfortable, healthy or happy
Whilst we can all appreciate this definition of wellbeing from the dictionary, our personal experience of it is actually quite a difficult thing to define. Your experience of wellbeing will be as different and unique to you as mine is to me.
What is clear though is that wellbeing is an active state, and, in that sense, it is a state which can change and fluctuate according to a variety of different and personal influences.
In order to live our best life; to achieve our personal definition of wellbeing, we must at least have a body that is full of life and a mind and spirit that is clear, focused and energised. If that describes you, then hats off; you're well on your way and you are unlikely to need to see someone like me right now. But, watch this space....things can (and often do) change!
More often than not though, despite striving hard for the people and things that are important to us, experiencing a state of wellbeing that prompts us to respond positively and genuinely to natural greetings of "how are you?" is not easily done. This is where Vertical Me attempts to redress the balance....
