Creamy Oat Fraiche to LOVE

I'm almost sure there is some unspoken rule that I'm not supposed to recommend specific products but hey, I like to break the rules sometimes....

Oatly Creme Oat Fraiche is pretty good!

It's vegan, it's milk free and lactose free and it is actually super tasty!

But what about GLUTEN?

While oat in itself is completely free from gluten proteins, it may be contaminated during harvesting, transport etc. Oatly can only guarantee that their products contain a maximum of 100 parts per million (mg/kg product) gluten, which is the limit for products to be recognized as very low gluten products. However, sadly, they cannot guarantee that it is low enough to be labelled as 'gluten free'.

For a product to be labelled "gluten-free", the gluten level must be less than 20 ppm of gluten; the gluten content in Oatly's products is not this low and so would NOT be suitable for someone who is coeliac, but MAY be able to be tolerated by someone who has an intolerance to gluten or who chooses not to eat gluten.

However, for all you individuals who are 'only' milk or lactose intolerant individuals out there searching for a more indulgent and traditional Christmas, this may add a little sparkle to your Christmas cooking?
